I will be mostly staying in Sidney, OH after I arrive in the USA. I will need to get new phone numbers and am looking at options of the various GSM service providers like Tmobile and AT&T.
I want to get a GSM service only as we plan to use our own iPhones. It should be able to provide 3G services in Sidney (never used 4G in life). I checked the coverage map of Tmobile and AT&T and it seems Tmobile is only 2G in Sidney (and Piqui, Troy as well). AT&T seems to have 3G (even 4G) in Sidney.
Can anyone suggest me which one I should go for ?
We will be getting a prepaid SIM card and top up with money every month or so.

Hey, between the two, probably AT&T. T-Mobile does not work well for the most part in SW Ohio

Thanks a lot. I guess I can also opt for Cricket Wireless right ? They use AT&T network only. If Cricket has better plans than AT&T then I will like to go with cricket.
All I need from my cell phone plan is Unlimited Calls and Some data (minimum 1 GB). I know most plans also have unlimited text but I anyways don't use text much.

Cricket was good, but the network switch(from CDMA) sucks. They claim you have to buy a new phone. Screw that. I'm going with MetroPCS next month. They seem to have a helluva flat rate plan. My neighbor and his girlfriend have it, and love it.

But Cricket GSM is good right ? Since they must be AT&T MVNO and using their network only. Their plan seems far better than AT&T.

Is there any website where I can compare various prepaid plans of GSM operators.
Since I want to use GSM network, Verizon, MetroPCS and Sprint are out of question for me.

I've been running AT&T GoPhone for a couple years with no issues - very good coverage around Dayton.

Unlimited talk/text + 2.5 GB data for $60/month (less if you purchase refills online at a discount).
