Barcadia isn't an arcade, per se. It's a retro-themed bar with perhaps a dozen classic titles like Spy Hunter and Q-Bert.

Beer selection is better than most. Decent food too. However, beware Friday/Saturday nights as it gets elbow-to-elbow packed and everyone will be YELLING at the top of their lungs. Still, the 20/30-something hipsters of lower Henderson are preferable to the hopelessly oblivious State Thomas/Uptown crowd by any conceivable measure.

Tuesday night is free game night. Oh look... that's today!

I went to Tornado Terry's out in Keller about 3 or 4 years ago. It had a good selection but it's quite a drive from Dallas proper. Gameworks is indeed gone. It was in Grapevine Mills Mall. It has been replaced by SeaLife. And now a moment of silence for the arcade that was at Forum 303...

My arcade has Spiderman. All the old games actually, X-Men, TMNT, Strider, Street Fighter 2, etc.

Here's a pic of Taito's 1988 Superman game on it...

And the cabinet, I've added a bezel around the TV and put a lighted marquee in since then.

If you want to play all those old games, you're pretty much forced to "do it yourself" since arcades are becoming few and far between in this area.

If you are just adults looking for arcade games, check out Barcadia on Henderson. It IS a bar, though, so no kids.
Today is March 13, 2013. Middle of Spring Break here in Dallas, Texas. Kids are bored. Arcade games ARE cool, I tell the kids...'What's a pinball?' one asks. Barcadia on Henderson has some really cool (I'm 39, so cool to me is *******,PacMan,Skeeball,SpyHunter,DonkeyKong,Galag a...you know, the ones my age grew up playing.) arcade games that are free on Tuesdays until they close. I call them. You CAN bring kids. At 8pm they tell you to take the kids home and come back. I strongly suggest to forgo the $3.00 Texas drafts, ice cold, all night, until the kiddos are safely at home...We will be going back today, when they open at 4pm. At .25 cents, these games are gonna be fun...

One of my kids was recently invited to a birthday party at Nickelmania Nickel Arcade, games, prizes, pizza and more.
at Midway and Trinity Mills in Carrollton. Definitely looks geared toward kids, sounds like a neat concept but I have never been.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but looked like there were some pinball machines in the website's picture gallery.
