I'm currently living in Michigan and have been attending community college for three semesters, studying to become a electrician. I've applied to several companies and unions, including I.B.E.W and have found it difficult to secure a apprenticeship position. As "mid-westerners", I'm sure the residents of Ohio have felt the pinch from the falling of the auto industry as well or I maybe wrong?I hear Columbus is going through a revitalizing process is this correct? If there's anyone who could give me tips on electrician training, apprenticeship programs, or information in general please share.
