I am going to a 3 day event at The Blue Arena(old Budweiser Event Center). I am not looking for a super high end place. I have a nice Travel Trailer but it is over the 10 year rule the really nice places all seem to have. I also don't want a place that is mainly homeless living in old junk campers either.

I don't need a spot with full services at the actual camping site. As long as I can fill up with water when I arrive and dump before I leave I would be happy with just electric at the site.

Thanks for any help.

If you're attending a program at that location, you should qualify for camping
https://www.treventscomplex.com/plan...v-camping-form

Otherwise, get nearby (Windsor / Timnath...)
Local state and county parks are very nice, but usually booked for recreation

one of my favorites...https://www.larimercamping.com/campi...&parkId=710103

~ 30 min drive to fairgrounds (not worth it while attending an event). Greeley, Ault would be closer.

I am just going to an event so it doesn't qualify me to stay on site. That would be awesome.

I looked at the other link but it is a little over 6 months out so I have to wait to book/see if they have an open site.

Boyd Lake is a LOT closer (for a county park)
https://thedyrt.com/camping/colorado...ood-campground
https://www.goodsam.com/campgrounds-...lorado/windsor

Commercial campgrounds near Johnson's Corner (10 min south)
Ft Collins / Timnath (10 minutes north)

Boyd Lake State Park and The Loveland RV Resort (lovelandrvresort.com) are a 10 minute drive to Blue Arena. Horstetooth
Reservoir is a popular RV spot, at least in the warmer months. Horsetooth is at least 30 to 40 minutes away if that's not too far. It's a great spot. You'll need reservations for any of the three. The RV Resort is definitely a safe spot with full services but the highway is busy and it will be your noisiest option.

Thank you for the help. I don't mind a 30-40 minute drive. I stayed in Greeley last year and it was a 30 minute drive.

I am still debating renting a place on vbro or camping. A friend is thinking about tent camping but I am way too delicate(spoiled) for that anymore. I am just not sure if I want to drag my TT 10 hours each way for a week long stay.

Thus... I often use my favorite lodging alternative (for the past 30+ yrs)

https://wikitravel.org/en/Hospitality_exchange

(0-$20/ night worldwide) Thousands of wonderful hosts and experiences for us. (plenty of hosts within 20 min of your venue, we've stayed with many of them, often)

I use a travel spreadsheet that searches airfares, fuel costs (my auto vehicles get 50mpg), and also add the costs of taking my Motorcycle (55 mpg, but more overnights), or campervan (22 mpg), or MH (18 mpg) Usually 'fly-drive' is cheapest ($39-$99 airfare + one of us goes for free) rental car or shuttle. electric bike or scooter could get you around (locally).
