How to add your COVID vaccine record to the myColorado app on your phone

Users who connect their driver’s license to the phone app can also load their verified vaccination record

https://www.denverpost.com/2021/08/1...f-vaccination/

"As more restaurants, bars and concert venues — not to mention employers — begin requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19, Coloradans have a few ways they can prove they’ve gotten their shots.

They can either show their official COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card — the one with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention logo on it — in person or via a photograph, or they can go the digital route.

The latter option includes either looking up their personal immunization record via the state’s web portal — or, more simply, by loading their verified state vaccination record onto the myColorado app on their phone."

"Here’s how to load COVID-19 vaccine records onto the myColorado app:

Download the myColorado app and have your Colorado driver’s license or ID ready to set up your account. Skip to step 3 if you already have an account.
Set up an account by scanning your driver’s license or ID with your smartphone’s camera. Create a username via a registration code.
Once you’re logged in, hit the “myVaccine Record” button on the main wallet page.
Review the myVaccine information and hit “Continue.”
Confirm your first name, last name, date of birth and gender.
Enter your phone number or email address.
Hit “Submit.”
The app says to allow up to 10 seconds for your record to load.
Your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card should appear, and you will have the ability to download it to your device."

I did this yesterday. Download that app and it will store and display your drivers' license and vaccination record on your smartphone.

The question is will it be considered official for things like international travel?
For example, France has developed a required registration system

For now, I've simply taken a picture of the card on my phone. I don't like installing extraneous apps.

The MyColorado app is quite nice and getting better all the time.
I have only about 20 apps on my iPhone and it is one them.
Mine has:
Driver’s license - sucked out of the state’s database
Car registration- ditto
Vaccination record - ditto
Car insurance - upload PDF
Medicare card - ditto
Kaiser card and eyeglass prescription - ditto
Passport - uploaded image

It all depends on the officials checking documents when you arrive. Each country is doing it differently. Countries in the EU have developed their own vaccination passport, but obviously we are not a part of that.

When we travel to Iceland in a couple of weeks, I plan on taking my original CDC card, just like I carry my original passport. I also have pictures of both on my phone, which I always carry as backup.

Does the vaccination record include all vaccinations (Flu, Pneumonia, Shingles, etc) or just COVID-19?

Minev is only COVID-19. I also have my digital DL on the app. FWIW, CSP recognizes the digital driver's license from the MyColorado app as a valid form of identification.

The one they pull from the database is just COVID, however I found there is an area where you can add whatever documents you want via taking a photo on your phone. The app says the Driver's License, etc., are acceptable as ID in Colorado but other states/countries may or may not be accepting it.

I downloaded the app this weekend when I went to a bar that required record of vaccination. I didn’t realize the places I was going were requiring it, but the bouncer at the first place recommended it when I didn’t have a picture of my vaccination card. I had the app downloaded, ID scanned, and vaccination proof pulled up within a minute or two. Not sure how many other states have an app like this, but I was impressed, had one of those moments where I really appreciated the relative competence of Colorado’s state government.
