looking to start a new business in Denver, what are the steps to follow?

what do I do first? Do I Open a Bank Account and Tax ID or I Register name with secretary of state first?

Is this something I can do by myself? I read somewhere I can just get a LLC kit at a Legal Store but it seems complicated and my time is limited. Thoughts?

Thank you all

Talk to your banker.

I'd bet you have to register with the Secretary of State and be a business before you can get a bank account in the name of any business.

This is an excellent website that takes you step by step through the process of setting up your LLC in Colorado https://howtostartanllc.com/colorado-llc. It's not really complicated if you just go through one step at a time. You could hire someone to do it for you, but by the time you provide all the necessary information you might just as well do it yourself.

You have to register with the secretary of state 1st, then get a tax ID number, and then open a bank account. If it is a single member LLC than you can create the company with a simple form on the Secretary of State's website and will have a legally formed LLC. If there are partners or you are forming a complicated business than you should hire a professional.
