Utah, yes. Colorado...I don't know. I'd like to see BYU in the Pac-12 instead of Colorado, but knowing as how they want to stay independent, it most likely won't happen.
I personally have no problem with either Colorado or Utah at this point. Also, since football isn't the only sport in the Pac-12, and since both teams have shown improvement in many different sports and academic areas, all is well.
colorado and utah are both at the point where arizona and asu were when they first joined the pac10. give them time to develop their programs more fully, the first few years are always tough, and those programs will get better.

Agreed,
BYU is in the same category as Notre Dame to be part of the Independent Conference.
Plus both are religion universities:
BYU is the Notre Dame for Mormons.
Notre Dame is the BYU for Catholics.
Might as well text here for SMU is the BYU & ND for Protestants.
No, especially Colorado. They cannot compete- nor could they in the Big 12. Still, at least at was more sensible geographically. Utah is solid, and needs to be in a Power 5 conference. Colorado would do well to join the Mountain West.
CU and UU, especially CU, made little sense geographically. It was like when Rutgers joined the Big Ten Which Is Actually Fourteen Last I Heard. Or the noise about Boise State joining one of the far eastern conferences.
The cold reality is that I am pretty sure BYU would have loved to join the Pac-12, but to the Pac-12, religious schools = icky. BYU and UU would have brought a natural rivalry, as would BYU and BSU. More logical would have been Fresneck and SJSU, or one of those and SDSU, though they would have watered down the competition a bit.
