I would like your opinions of better/newer complexes that are in good areas. I'm finding some "luxury" complexes in really crummy areas, so that's a deal breaker for us. Can you kind folks suggest any places? We are flying down tomorrow morning to start looking around, so any quick answers are greatly appreciated!

Check craigslist. You can find some great places on there.

porters neck. granite countertops, nice appliances, they have sunroom units as well. they're farther out, but IMHO they were a lot nicer for the price than avalon or other 'luxury' apartments. less students too since it's farther out from campus and more expensive.

what about a nice apartment/condo whatever, right in downtown? like, you know in the nice part of historic downtown where apartments run about $1200? Does it have to be a complex? wilmington doesn't have much to offer in the way of new and TRULY luxury apartment complexes.. mostly old from what i've seen. There are nice places in downtown on craigslist that I would love to be able to afford.
