Persue your own interest on meetup.com, you can find just about any group there or start your own. I met a guy there, but found out I wasn't really interested. Later I got a phone call from a guy that did some work for me a year ago. I was introduced to him by my ex-boyfriend. I guess the point is that when you are ready the right person will appear in the darndest places. I had a collegue who was divorced say to me once, I will never find anyone because all I do is stay at home with my kids, well a little while later she met someone at work.
