Several group attacks on individuals, including this recent one at Government Square.

It sure turns me off from frequenting ANYWHERE downtown. I can’t imagine the businesses are happy about it. There’s been a number of incidents and shootings in OTR, and especially in the usual areas over the years, of course, but this recent attack was at Government Square.

I agree. I don't generally go to downtown areas of major cities mainly for this reason.

Government Sq. is the metro bus depot so it brings lots of thugs to the area. Heck I think there has been multiple shootings at The Banks, over the past year, the entertainment area between the 2 Stadiums. Maybe 8-9 years ago CPD got Metro to stop bringing busses to Government Sq after a certain time. Young thugs were running wild beating people up including giving a concussion the Prosecutors son, John Deters. Spring/Summer time. Maybe Metro needs to revisit who they are bring downtown.

The Banks and OTR I think have been drive by shootings.

Yep, unfortunately. Too bad law and order appears to be politically incorrect to the city government these days. It will be no surprise to see more businesses abandon downtown, if this keeps up and there’s no customers. So much for downtown revitalization and street car usage.

Some act like being anti violence is racist. I don’t care what color or race the prep is I oppose it independent of race.
