Next week I’ll be staying near 7th and Race Street. Assuming common sense street smarts, am I good walking to OTR for dinners and such (safety-wise)? Likely in and back to hotel by 9p during the weekdays, so def after dark, probably both coming and going. Looks like less than 3/4 of a mile, so pretty short walk.

Walking up Race Street looks most direct route…

Thanks for any thoughts.

You should be fine. After dark its more of a no mans land north of liberty but even with that statement its not blanket. Green and Republic and Green and Vine are both horrible and have folks drinking and selling drugs pretty much 24 hours a day weather permitting. But there are bars and restaraunts north of liberty now as well so its not as bad as it used to be and getting better.

Many thanks. Yeah, I’ll be keeping south of Liberty.

So from the Marriott TownePlace Suites on 7th and Race St…my known walking destinations will be (separately) on W 15th and Race, and E 12th and Main. Both destinations clock in at 0.6 miles walking from hotel.

Sounds like I’m good…thanks much.
