If so, how often? Any lakes within the Cinci area that don't get crowded?

It used to get pretty busy with power boats any weekend when the weather was nice. Haven't been to there yet this summer. The public beach is huge and doesn't get too crowded.

I suspect you might enjoy camping and East Fork has a nice campground. One of the largest for a State Park in this area. Last year they were filled to capacity every weekend. This year, if you make a reservation early in the week you have a good chance of getting a site.

The campground also has its own large beach and boat ramp, so you can avoid the crowded public ramps if you like a little boating with your camping.

Caesar Creek State Park to the northeast has similar crowds. Campground is not as large, and the campground beach is smaller compared to East Fork.

Not sure, but East Fork Lake had an algae bloom warning earlier this summer. Not sure what the conditions are now. May want to check with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources or the State Park's websites before going.
