synchronicity: the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection
How strange it is in Cincinnati... As an old "Rose" fades away, with his sport losing much of its allure, a new "Rose" burst into bloom, with her sport gaining widespread appeal. Yesteryear, he batted balls; today she kicks them...

THE MURAL. It's nice hearing Lavelle express strong feelings for her city:

I've asked this on here before. Why do we post such simple information that could easily go into a Cincinnati Development thread or Cincinnati Discussions thread? Nobody discusses anything in these threads. Add them all up and at least you can follow what's going on in a specific thread.

My understanding for something like that to happen it would be up the moderator of this forum. Which I think should still be Yac. You could message him and ask.

That said, the mural is great and Rose Lavelle is a Cincinnati Icon now, she was amazing all world cup and in 4 years should be even better. Hopefully FCC starts a women's team and signs her.

Not all threads need to lead to discussion. Sometimes, raising awareness by sharing information is all that is needed, which I've done here. If you don't appreciate this type of post, don't read it and don't discourage others by criticizing and derailing it. Furthermore, there is no designated "Development" or "Discussions" thread on the Cincinnati forum. I suggest that you start one yourself if you can get the cooperation of the moderator. At second thought, that doesn't appear to be your style; you much prefer injecting your negative opinions into other people's threads, where they're most unwelcome.

There is a designated development thread for Cincinnati. Search for it. It's not hard. Also, don't act like you know my "style". I asked a question and you get all defensive. Why is that? Why is putting these articles in one thread a bad idea?

In light of your own Cincinnati upbringing and associations, what are your observations and feelings concerning the outpouring of affection lately bestowed upon Rose Lavelle?

Now that she's been memorialized in a mural, been handed the keys to the city by the mayor and dubbed its new queen, what's next? Cincinnati already cherishes their beloved bronze statue of a civic goddess, the "Genius of Water" on Fountain Square. Will the city's zeal to immortalize Rose Lavelle in the same fashion lead to her very own monumental marble figurine just a few steps away?

Next, what are your feelings regarding Megan Rapinoe? This outspoken, highly-opinionated athlete has shot to celebrity status and has now promoted herself,
with the help of an incredible amount of media coverage, as an expert on all things:

Rose Lavelle doesn't shy away from the controversy surrounding Rapinoe and the team - therefore, how might her continued professional alliance and personal comaraderie affect her relationship with her hometown?
