"It's more than just a music festival. The Cincinnati Music Festival drives our regional and national reputation around diversity and inclusion, as well as cultural vibrancy and entertainment power."
No matter what you've known it by in years past (the "Ohio Valley Jazz Festival", the "Macy's Music Festival"), the well-known Cincinnati Music Festival showers our region in tourists, dollars, national recognition and great vibes. In fact, this annual gala weekend celebration is by far the city's largest tourism event:

"Originally dubbed the Ohio Valley Jazz Festival, the riverfront event has transformed into the region's largest annual tourism event."
"The festival launched in 1962 and is one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. with more than 90,000 attendees from across the country."

The thousands of out-of-towners and local fans who came to enjoy this year's gala music and food festivals weren't diverted from having a good time by protestors determined to inject the sordid Tracie Hunter saga into the mix. In fact, media sources deemed this last weekend's two simultaneous downtown celebrations a great success...

AT PAUL BROWN STADIUM:
"Cincinnati Music Festival reports big numbers despite outcry over Hunter case"

"The popularity made the event one of the largest urban music festivals in the U.S., according to event organizers."

Technically speaking, the two events mentioned above have been two separate festivals, Cincy Soul being a much more recent addition:

"Cincy Soul continues to grow during annual Cincinnati Music Festival weekend"

However, even more recently, there's a third related event acquiring a history all its own - the gala "lawn party" on Fountain Square known as the All White & Wine Affair:
