Clermont?

I grew up in Clermont County, living in Williamsburg and graduating from Williamsburg High School and went to U.S. Grant Vocational School in Bethel when it first started up. I can remember Rt. 32 from Batavia to Williamsburg was a squiggly hill back then and I remember when the Eastgate area was just a road and a big white house on acres of land. I remember that highway they put in by the Ford Plant and I remember the McDonald's they put up there by the hospital. Have they developed this area?

I remember going to the Eastgate Mall when it was brand new. I remember lots of mud everywhere. I hadn't moved to the area yet, but was visiting college friends.

The Ford plant is either closing or has closed already. What a waste!

But that whole area has developed with Clermont Mercy Hospital and county offices relocating out at the intersection with Bauer Road. And you know that where McDonald's goes, so goes every other fast food place (there's a kind of retro Frisch's that's fun to go to). And of course, resulting traffic jams and accidents.
