If so, where do you think everyone else will go? It's my understanding that not all Christians believe in a literal, eternally-burning hell. What, in your denomination/sect, is expected to happen to non-Christians upon death? Especially those who have led decent, ethical lives according to their different, or non-beliefs.
Not again like how many of these threads have you created anyway?

Heaven is wherever Jesus is, hell is where He isn't. Jesus did speak of gradations in punishment in hell. Those who go there are simply being sent where they want to go, being forced into heaven hating Jesus would still be hell.
So this life must be heaven, since Jesus said I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS?

About as many as fundamentalists have ridiculed and tried to disparage this conversation?

This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
So is this a literal or metaphorical statement? What many are asking is if this "vision" aka hallucination, is a public event or one we might experience on an individual basis?

If the "sea" is giving up it dead, does the fires, mountains, rivers, and other geographical bodies also surrender their dead?

What exactly are the two books? Why not ONE?

So we are then judged by "deeds" and not faith?

If one's name is not written in the book of life (one of two books) what if it is in the second book? Again, what purpose is there in having two books when the only one that seems to matter is the book of life?

Deu 4:24
For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Deu 9:3
Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
Heb 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.

OR here
Isa 33:14
The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: “Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?”
Isa 33:15
Those who walk righteously and speak what is right, who reject gain from extortion and keep their hands from accepting bribes, who stop their ears against plots of murder and shut their eyes against contemplating evil—
Isa 33:16
they are the ones who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. Their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them.

well the night will end and the shining of day starts any time and it is going to get hotter because both
heaven and hell is a burning consuming fire of Day, and it will not be night any longer .... is what He says.. .. who is going to be ready? with a new Birthed body .
new body created and clothed with His salvation ... or who will try and create and rely on their own salvation?

so this question you keep asking......"who is going to a burning hell" is actually very ignorant of the facts announced in every generation By God and his prophets . and SO is just an accusation that is inaccurate to the facts of God's offer of salvation.

Rev 2:11
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Rev 20:6
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Rev 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 21:8
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

the second death is the hell you fear so much you make thread after thread about it .. .. but a believer who has been prepared with a new body can go into the hell you all fear.. and not die.. why because the fire of God is hotter than the hell you fear!!! or a different kind of fire .. but HE is more consuming than that hell is consuming .
the real question is Who is willing to be made ready to stand in his presence? because that is a way bigger Hotter and more "fearful thing" and all-consuming presence as these verses above show us.

But it appears he is being Nice and Loving even... and just giving the pit an even cooler place of day ...than his presence is !!
but know that there is going to be no more night/ darkness to hide in once he comes.. that darkness of ignorance born and men held captive in the darkness between mankinds right and left ears. there is the power of hell you worry so much about.

Really? Picking a murderer to be set free and then crucifying someone is generally an indication you pretty much hate them.

That you have to go back 2000 years to find someone that hated Jesus should tell you something.

In your blindness you have hit on a little truth.....believers are NOW spiritually already seated in heaven.......

20 But our citizenship is in HEAVEN, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

I believe in Heaven, but I don't believe anybody -- Christian or not -- "will be allowed entry upon earthly death."

This is where Mormon theology makes sense to me. Our belief is this: When we die, our spirit no longer resides in our physical body, giving it life. The body is either buried or cremated, but the spirit continues to exist as a fully cognizant entity. It does not immediately go to either Heaven or Hell, but to an intermediate realm (or state of existence) where, depending upon how the individual lived his life, will exist in a state of paradise (i.e. peace and rest) or prison (emotional anguish and torment) to await the resurrection and the final judgment. Since the spirit is still self-aware and can learn new things and continue to make choices, those who did not know about Jesus Christ during their lives will have the opportunity to learn about Him and accept Him as their Savior prior to the last judgment. They will be able to repent of their sins and have the same opportunity for salvation as those who had that chance during mortality. Of course, there will be a great many people who, as you say, "have led decent ethical lives" but did not accept Christ, even though they may have been aware of His existence and teachings. We may not know the reason why they did not accept Him, but God certainly does. This post-death period may be the first time that they truly come to understand His Atonement and what it can mean to them. At any rate, only after God has thus leveled the playing field will the resurrection and the judgment come. This is the time when we (the overwhelming majority of all who ever lived) will either be reunited with God in Heaven. A tiny few who literally refuse the opportunity to be forgiven and who would prefer to spend eternity apart from God and their loved ones will end up in "Outer Darkness."
