Hi, I'm hoping someone may be able to help me out with some ideas. I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks and the friends who normally watch my dog had a family emergency and can't do it.

I'm wondering if anyone here knows of dog sitters (individuals or organizations) who will watch your dog in their home. I have left my dog with a doggie daycare/boarding place before and I will do it again if necessary but if there's a better option, I'd love to hear it! She's a non-destructive Bichon Frise (about 17 lbs) so not a large breed.

Thanks for any help!

We use pet sitters when we go away, but they just come to our house. If that's an option for you, we use Fluffs of Luv Pet Sitting, Dog walking, Pet Care, Cat Care, Charlotte and they are awesome!

Where are you located?

Thanks, I looked into that but I'm not comfortable leaving her at home, especially in an apartment. She's home all day when I'm at work but I think she needs someone with her otherwise and at night....might be my own paranoia though! I'm in Dilworth.

Call The Furry Godmother in Waxhaw. They are primarily a groomer, but do doggie daycare and boarding. But instead of boarding them in a kennel, they usually go home with the owner (Dawn) to stay at her farm.

They do an outstanding job and you can tell they really care for the pets. Our Golden is always exhausted when he gets home from either doggie day care or spending the weekend with them.

They also do an amazing job with grooming if you need that too.

PM me if you want contact information or have specific questions.
