I've had a couple of black cats.
How about Charm? Or Cocoa?
See what name kitty responds to.
I liked those names above because for the beginning phase you can call out "Charm-kitty" or Cocoa-kitty" and then over time drop the kitty part as she knows her name by then.
I like Cinder the best. But if you are calling her kitty now maybe alter it to Kiki.
Bella would be a good name too.
All of my cats I named except one who was 3 when we got her. Her name was Princess, so ok that's her name. Except she liked to escape and I spent a lot of time walking the neighborhood, usually only a few houses away, yelling her name while searching for her. For some reason that name was awkward to yell. Pick a easy to yell name just in case.

Dawn, it's always the darkest before the dawn. Tarry Night?
I'm thinking too much about this aren't I?
A family member had a stray cat take up at her home. She had all tabbies and one black cat. She took all the kittens when old enough to have fixed but Mamma was nowhere to be found. She had 2nd litter, one siamese mix, grey tabbies, 2 blacks.
Got mamma cat fixed.
Both times the black cats were my favorites. If I didn't have cat hating dogs they would have been my first choice to take home. Very sweet cuddly cats. Those are the ones they chose to keep.

Lol, a member of my extended family is named Phaedra.
Wow! That's not a name you see every day. I've loved it since I was around 20. So far the kitty seems to like Binx or Binxie. She turns her head when I say that name.
My 45 pound Catahoula mix is afraid of her. Sometimes Binx will rub up against her and sometimes she hisses at her and tries to scratch her. Hannah makes a wide berth when she has to go around her. The funny thing is I never intended on keeping Binx. She was a starving stray, who when I realized it was a female I knew I had to get her to trust me so I could take her to be spayed. I thought if she was already spayed and vaccinated that it would be easier for a rescue group to want her. She was spayed two weeks ago at my vet's but all the rescue organizations are full. Naturally, the longer she is here the more attached we get so I'm pretty sure I now have a cat and a dog. :-)
By the way if Binx was the last name of the cat on Hocus Pocus what was his first name?
That one's pretty hard to beat. We may have a winner folks.
