He's at the vet and shortly will be undergoing surgery and remove the snapped lower left incisor. When he was taken in the vet opened his mouth and sure enough the tooth was snapped and laying in there. Don't know if its the roots or the tooth somehow snapped in half. His cheek was pretty swollen and the vet didn't want to pry too much until Jensen was under anesthesia. And I won't know until he's picked up and see his dental x-ray. And since his teeth are in bad shape from when he was a stay he's getting a good cleaning too.
Either way poor guy's diabetic and has to have this done.
Maybe he'll get to come home tonight if all goes well or he may have to stay.
aaawwww ... poor little jensen .... healing thoughts coming from st. louis....
fwiw .... my big ol' orange tabby boy had this happen..... apparently, he was climbing around in the wood pile and got hit in the face by a log.... .... had no idea until the next day or so when i noticed that he wasn't eating..... HIGHLY unusual for him..... took a good look at him and one of his canines was sticking straight out of his mouth.... loaded him up and went straight to the vet ..... he had some bruising on his jaw and the vet had to remove the tooth, but otherwise, he was just fine.... and in a couple of days, you never would have known anything had happened.....
