It's kind of funny, my nearest McDonald's closed itself to indoor dining (carryout still acceptable) in March of 2020, and just re-opened in July 2021... right as we became the COVID-19 Delta capital of the world.

I haven't been inside a McDonald's in years though there has been the rare drive-through trip. Most have been pretty dead for indoor eating for years. The only exception is Wendy's which seems to attract more people to their dining room. On th eothe rhand, drive thru is always packed at fast food places.

Life looks pretty bleak for the lazy and unskilled. Unemployment checks ending and Biden will have you back out on the street (evictions) by the time winter is here.

I never eat in fast food restaurant. It is too dirty. I always get to go. And I do fast food more often then I should.

I've been doing a lot of driving the past few weeks and haven't seen any fast food places closed when we stopped for food or a restroom break. We did run into a couple that had a hard time because there were only 1-2 employees.

I think it's a good idea to close inside dining.

The past 1 1/2 years I frequented a restaurant that had outside dining only, and there was never a covid case. Two weeks after re-opening the inside dining, they had a cluster of cases and are now closed until further notice.

With this happening at a small restaurant that was very careful, I can't imagine the chances of getting covid inside of a fast food restaurant. I, personally, don't eat inside any restaurant. Doesn't make sense to sit and eat around strangers during a pandemic. Get the food to go or cook it yourself.

One local Micky D's never reopened their lobby, the other one did. The one that didn't open has a sign out front that it's paying $10/hr. The other one that did open the lobby is paying $12.

It's so damn expensive to eat out these days, I rarely eat out anymore. And the quality of just about everything seems to have gone down everywhere. Once in a while I'll hit McD's for breakfast or get a submarine sandwich at a pizza joint, but not too often.

Around my area all the McDonald's dining rooms are open, but no one is "staffing the register." They'll maybe look at you at tell you to order from the kiosk. If you tell them you only have cash, someone will begrudgingly come over and take your order in another five minutes.

I've also seen a manager there tell his staff to stop taking orders with 10-15 people in the lobby yet to order and only 8 or so orders on the screen. It's a mess.
