Hello everyone. This is a serious question for me as I am about to purchase my second Parrotlet. My first was a Green (Celestial, I think) Pacific Parrotlet. She had the most adorable, funny, intelligent personality of any bird I have ever owned. I am now, very well aware of all the Blues/Yellows/Whites/Mutant species of this remarkable little bird. Is anyone aware of any personality differences in these different colors? I ask because I am aware of personality differences in dogs, for example, a long-haired mini daschhound is very relaxed and laid back as compared to their short haired kin, who have wild and very happy go-lucky personalities. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Koale

Talking Nevermind...

I have just been lucky enough to secure a young male w/outstanding cage for only $150.00...complete with everything this little fella could ask for. He's 9 months old...very exciting. Gotta get him on fresh fruit/veggies...along w/his seed diet. I'm off to the bank and the farmers market...

What other birds have you owned?

What's the personality about the parrotlet that you like so much?

congrats!

in terms of colors the only real difference ive seen is with the am-whites (or pastel blues) they seem to be generally quieter and more laid back than the other colors...but not by enough to make a real difference.
plet are such fun little clowns!

Ever notice how parrolets go nuts when they hear a plastic bag crumpled up or opened within their hearing. Every one we have ever had goes nuts at the sound. Feisty little birds. Never noticed a difference in personality due to color.
