Best passing center of all time:
-Fastest triple double in NBA history
-2nd most triple doubles by an NBA Center (behind Wilt Chamberlain) and only 4th NBA season
-Averaging over 7 assists per game the past two seasons
This dime from last night (even though Murray got crushed) was a perfect example of this skill. So fun to watch!
Under contract until end of the 22-23 season. They paid him 5 years $150M. Murray is signed through 24-25.
My only concern with Jokic is his lack of dedication to physical conditioning. He came into the season horribly out of shape, and it took him a while to get back his conditioning. He can get away with this while he is as young as he is, but it will eventually take a toll on him later on, with possible injuries to his knees/feet. Him and Embiid have this same problem, world class talent but trash class effort in doing the little things that can take them from just very good to all time great.
Reviving this thread for the soon-to-be 2021 MVP, Jokic!
Nobody is having a better season.
The conditioning and aggression he has shown hunting for his shot this year has been impressive.
The question to me is whether or not he will keep playing so many minutes, and keep putting up shots at this pace if his teammates are making theirs. He is in a bit of a Catch-22, the better his team gets (which would cement the MVP trophy with his current numbers) the less likely he is to keep putting up these types of numbers.

Agree on the conditioning. I would expect his assist numbers to go through the roof in that case. Also, if his teammates beyond MPJ and Murray are scoring, Jokic will get even more space to operate. Nobody wants to see the Nuggets in the playoffs.
Only thing that will hold him up is the disappointing team record. Because of that I’m leaning towards Harden who has pretty much carried the Nets to the best record in the league while missing KD and Kyrie for big chunks of the season
I had Joel Embiid as my MVP given what he's done with the Sixers - Curry coming in and Doc Rivers also being there help - but since he's hurt I'd have to go with Jokic. Simply unbelievable what he can do. Shoots it pretty well, his conditioning is much improved, improved a bit defensively, and his passing is the best ever for a big man. Denver just moved into 4th in the loaded West and have won 5 straight. Harden is my second choice but Brooklyn's starting to get back to full strength and that will take a load off of him...
