This is what I tried to explain on post #3 of this thread. All most people see is where the catcher catches it. These MLB pitchers nowadays have some nasty stuff. I couldn't imagine batting against them. The movement they put on the ball can really make that superimposed strikezone as inacurate as many of the really messed up umpire calls they actually make.
EVEN SO, I think the umpiring is getting worse.
