Don't be surprised if neither of them go. Can't rule out Tampa, Boston, Houston, San Diego, and even San Francisco (baseball's biggest surprise) to get to the Classic.
I hope it's the Giants vs the Astros or the A's.
Then (like 1989 and 2002) one of my teams (Giants, A's, Astros, and Angels....they've been my 'home teams') will win.
I've been watching Turner play since late 2015.....I already knew he was good. It's too bad it took a trade to the Dodgers for the media to actually notice him. He's gotten talked about more in the 4 games he's played with the Dodgers than in his 6+ years in Washington. But you don't have to tell us Nats fans how good he is.....we already knew that fact!
Yankees had an incredible run for about a month straight. They seem to be leveling out a bit. Way behind the Rays in the standings, and it looks more and more like the Yankees will have to play in the 1 game wild card game, where anything can happen. Seeing them miss the bulk of the playoffs due to losing 1 game would be amazingly lucky for the rest of the AL.
One can only hope...
Keep in mind, even the best MLB team vs the worst MLB team is something like a 65/35 proposition for the favorite. Two winnings teams playing each other in one game is more like 55/45 so there is a very real probability the Yankees postseason lasts 1 game only.
AL playoffs will be a grind. There are some really talented teams. Any one of Rays, Yankees, White Sox and Astros have the horses to win it all.
