Well, this was supposed to be the first time all 30 teams opened play on the same day, but because of rain in Cincinnati that number will drop down to only 28 teams (pending further rainouts) instead.

2018 has already started off with a bang as the Cubs Ian Happ takes the first "official" pitch of the season and hits a home run with it.

They got Happ out in his second plate appearance, so his pace drops from around 600 homers this season to a more realistic 300.

Schwarber got himself into great shape during the off season, but apparently his glove spent the winter drinking and watching tv. He has butchered a couple of plays in the bottom of the third, allowing the Marlins to tie the Cubs 4-4.
