Well the bubble burst last night, but I am not surprised. 1st: they couldn't continue this pace: 2-they are playing a top notch team and 3-as good as Kershaw is, he isn't God or close. He was due for a less than 100% performance.
Now it is 5. they are up 7.5 games I think, maybe it is just 7. Regardless, on June 22nd they were 9.5 games out of first place. I don't have the statistics, but I wouldn't be surprised it this wasn't the greatest turn around in history!!! I am still afraid to get too excited. I just want to see what happens in the next few weeks. Last night Kershaw showed again, what he could do. We have seen them on TV for the past 7 nights. I know it is going to end one of these nights, but until then, we will continue to keep our TV channel turned to wherever we get them.
The Dodgers are playing out of their mind, 41-8 in last 49 games, that's the best 49 games in the 50 or more years, plus they were what 30-42 at one point. I think Puig is making a case for MVP.

ok, they lost 2 and now they are back on a roll: 8.5 games up I think it is!!!!! As for Puig, he seems to have been just what the doctor ordered, but I am not sure about MVP. So much has come together for the Boys in Blue, including players that were just so-so that are now preforming at the top of their game.
Just got back from a trip to L.A. and made it a point to see the Dodgers host the Giants on Sunday, 15 Sept.
Loved the experience of Dodger stadium; the fans were great, the Dodger dogs were good, traffic around the ballpark was goofy but it is what it is. We sat in Section 5FD, Row W; under cover and out of the sun which was really hot that day. Good seats, just to the left of home plate and about 25 rows back.
The Giants won, but it was an exciting game; bottom of the 9th, down by a run, 2 out, bases loaded, and Puig comes in to pinch hit .... but he hit a dribbler to shortstop, fielder's choice at second, end of game. Rats. Earlier in the game Adrian Gonzalez knocked in 3 runs with a double and later in the game the Giants intentionally walked him twice to avoid pitching to him with runner(s) on base - the fans booed lustily and I don't blame them. Giants player Pence hit two home runs in the game, giving them the win. IMO the ump was calling some low pitches as strikes on Dodger batters.
But I'd go back to Dodger stadium any time.
EDIT: Tix were $115.00 plus $8.90 service charge x 2; prepaid parking was $30.00 plus $3.75 service charge x1; order processing fee was $5.10 and the grand total was $286.65 for two folks to see the game. That's not cheap but it was still a fun day for the wife and I.

too bad we couldn't have all watched them win last night!!! Now, let's see what they can do during Oct? I have faith in them and they have been sputtering a little the past 10 days, so they should be ready to go all out!!!!!
