Seven in a Row .... and counting.

The Jays are now 12-2 in their last 14 and have won 17 of their last 22 starts.

Default 31-22

Jays 9 Rays 6

Survived a shaky inning from Delabar and rode the home run ball to their 8th win in a row. Encarnacion continues to smoke the ball, hitting his 14th dinger of the month.

Barry Bonds' record of 17 in a month is in sight. Wouldn't mind seeing Barry lose a record, especially to a quiet star like Edwin.

Dramatic walk-off win tonight - 3-2 - to extend the streak to 9.

Tampa's gonna be ticked and they're headed to Boston. Hope they beat each other up.

Next up, KC for three.

Winning's fun.

I wonder if there is a jetstream blowing out to center field, the amount of homeruns hit to center in Rogers Centre is crazy

You're right Warszawa, the ball jumps out of that park, especially when the roof is closed.

Royals 8 Jays 6

Well, it had to end. But before it did, EE crushed two more balls, upping his May total to 16. His, and the team's run, has been a treat to watch.

Royals 6 Jays 1

These Royals are going to make some noise this year. Their pitching is deep and bats are coming around.

Jays can only hope for a split now.

Travis D'Arnaud is terrible in NYC, I bet the Blue Jays don't miss him at all

Not this year. Navarro, Thole and Eric Kratz are decent receivers and pitch-callers, if not possessed of terrific arms. All three are chipping in with the bat too.

Jays 12 Royals 2

Back on the winning track. Both teams sent out pitchers making their MLB debuts. Felt bad for Aaron Brooks of KC. Kid didn't get out of the 1st - giving up 7 runs before getting an out.

Marcus Stroman had a much better outing for the Jays, going six strong and giving up only a single run.

EE didn't homer, finishing the month with 16 - tied with Mickey Mantle for most home runs in May by an American Leaguer.

Not too shabby company to keep.

Jays 4 Royals 0

Mark Buehrle improved to 10-1 with 8 strong innings, continuing the best start of his career. Encarnacion must still think it's May, whacking a double and a 2-run homer.

Can't complain about an 8-2 homestand. A day off tomorrow and then on to Detroit for three before coming back home to start a series with St. Louis. Those six games will be a test for Gibbons' crew.
