Although I don't live anywhere near the Motor City and have no close friends there, a glitch in the radio spectrum made the Ernie Harwell and the Tigers broadcasts (at night, anyway) accesible at a time back in the late Sixties when my Dad's Phillies weren't going anywhere (and in my family you did not root for the Yankees).

That respect for one of the best-established and usually competitive teams in baseball has never abated after forty years, and with the Mayo Smith Society (apparently) no longer on the web, I'd like to hear from other Tiger enthusiasts. A part of me will always have a soft spot for the phrase "Michigan and Trumbull".
