Prices of things are killing me...
My Toyota highlander needs 2 tires
and they told us it would be 370.
I know I need to get the exact tire
they are talking about but is this
reasonable??/

Insufficient data.

Who is "they?"
What brand and size tires?
Have you checked Tire Rack or Discount Tire?

I'm taking a wild guess here and surmising you're talking to a Toyota dealer. Not usually the best place to buy tires.

What size are the tires? That seems awfully steep. Generally with tires, the bigger you go the more you pay.

I agree with Dwatted and JTraik on this one, Kelly.

More information is needed but $370 sounds a little steep.

I just checked Discount Tire quickly. Using 2006 as the year your Highlander was build you can get tires priced from $101-200 each. That vehicle can have either 16 or 17 in wheels and lots of other choices. Bottom line is $370 is not out of line but if money is tight they can be bought cheaper. The cheaper tires will probably not be an exact match visually. This price did not include mounting and taxes.

Sorry..It was late when I posted.

When I said I needed to get the exact tire , I meant that
I knew I needed to post more info.

I just got the model info.

Goodyear Fortera Triple Tread 225/65R17

I just found out that this price is suppose to be with a $50/tire
discount for early tread wearout of other tires.

So that would be 470 without the discount.

I was quoted $828.00 two weeks ago for 4 Goodyears to fit an Altima
215/60/16. Didn't buy them. Got 4 Michelins at Sam's for $470.00 mounted and balanced.

In spite of lack of data one point needs to cleared up not asked by other posters.

Is this price one quoted to you by a Toyota dealer?

If the price is a dealer quote then it helps to know that ANYTHING quoted by a dealer will ALWAYS be the highest price possible. Shop at tire shops or online to get a better more fair price and skip the dealer for tires.
