This Cooper tire seems to be only sold by Walmart.

Cooper Discoverer All-Terrain

For this particular tire sold by Walmart. There is not other designation such as AT3, etc.
Just states Discoverer All-terrain.

What issues would a customer encounter? Is this Cooper tire different from other Cooper tires? And who warrants the tire?

I got a set of Goodyear Assurance 'Outlasts' from walmart exclusive for an SUV. The particular model is murderous on tires and I have had it <5 years and I am on my 2rd set. By not getting the goodyear assurance 60K mile warratny tire from anyone, but going for the 'outlast' 80K mile tire...hopefully it translates into an extra 5-10 k on t he back end, I have NEVER gotten the actual mileage warranty on any tire lifetime and I live in the deep snow belt, I cant run 6 or less in the winter so I try to plan it that I burn them off each nov-dec.

who honors the warranty? no one. no one EVER does unless you pay for road hazard. The fine print lists the 'lifetime' as a time and mile factor and they depreciate by BOTH. generally, if you have a claim its a $10 per tire payout IF you buy 4 more from THEM.

also keep in mind, walmart is satan and worships devils and sells us to the chinese, BUT, they sell over 50% of the car/light truck tires sold in the USA. so they have the best price hands down. if you find a walmart with the more educated monkeys to mount up, or buy from walmart.com and take to the mounter of your choice.

I don't know exactly what might be different, but the tread pattern is identical to the Discovered AT3s that I bought for my Ranger a few years ago. Also, they had the same 60,000 mile warranty. On my F150, more recently, I went with Firestone Destination X/T tires.

It’s not just Cooper. Other reputable brands make particular tires sold exclusively through particular chain stores like Walmart. https://fourwheeltrends.com/are-tire...-as-elsewhere/

I’ve known people who haven’t had problem with the name brand tires from Walmart. These are people who don’t drive hard and fast. My issue with tires from Walmart is 1. how old are the tires & 2. What the quality of the person doing the balancing and installing. Old tires look good but can wear out or blow out faster. Look for the date code on the sidewall for when it was made. Sure some mechanics at Walmart are competent but many are not much better than someone straight out of a high school shop class. It’s hit or miss if you’ll get a competent installer at your local Walmart. If the date on the tires are good and the installer did the job correctly then there’s no problem getting cheaper tires at Walmart.
