Pull together a team of tech geniuses, develop a little IP, razzle dazzle the hell out of media coverage, never actually produce anything ready for end users, sell out to a big company.
If you're mismanaged well enough, you can lose more than that in a quarter.
Not with 100 people, most of whom are in the marketing department.

I like the looks of the Rivians, though.
We'll see if anything comes of it... they still have the same pricing problems everyone else has.
Nothing like that one-off prototype will ever be seen on the road. The investors are just farming alternate technology to Tesla, kind of on the cheap. Anything that comes from this will wear an F-150 badge.
Ford is coming up with a plug in F-150 which if you think about it, has all of the advantages of an EV with far less drawbacks. There’s really no reason to make an pure EV truck. Unlike luxury sedan owners, truck owners don’t typically want to be constrained to heavily traveled interstates and slow recharging times. Ever see a charging station that could accommodate a trailer?
It’s no wonder Ford stock continues to stay down
With these questionable decisions. I’m glad I
sold my stocks years ago. Good riddance!
I did okay with my block of F. Not sure how you think significant investment in EV technology (which Rivian has, if only on paper) is a negative move for a major automaker.
