Right now only Volkswagen, Mercedes and Jeep sell diesel-powered cars in the U.S., but Ford, Nissan and others plan to launch American versions of diesel models already successful in Europe within the next year.

Jaguar has sold diesel cars in the U.S. for a couple of years now.

Diesel is about 40 cents/gallon cheaper than premium gas here in South Florida and premium gas is required in all Jaguar galsoline-powered engines. Moreover, diesel fuel has been available at pretty much every gas station in South Florida I've ever gone to.
