Hit the curb and chipped a piece of the rim off. It's a new car and I'd like to find a way to repair it if possible, or at least make it less noticeable if that is not an option.

Mobile rim repair businesses are popping up all over as big alloys have gone from being a premium add on to being standard equipment. If you don't have any local connections your dealer could probably recommend the one they use.

Lots of wheel service shops (they do most work for dealerships) that will do the work at your house (>$100) or at their shop (usually on their schedule).

It can definitely be repaired, DIY if you are handy, have a pro do it if not.

You can also check the local boneyards for a wheel in mint condition. People wreck new cars all the time, you can reap the benefit of the parts. Having a second set of wheels and tires can be handy, buy tires when they are on sale and put on the car on your own schedule.

You *could* of course spring for a new wheel at the $tealer, but, that is not your cheapest or best fix.

Honestly I wouldn't even bother. That's a pretty small insignificant scratch. Don't worry, there will be many more to come. Just nature of driving.

Like-new OEM wheels can be purchased inexpensively on CL, Ebay, etc. It might be cheaper to buy a lightly used wheel than it would be to have yours repaired.
