Looks like JJ may be looking to get back into a Cup car next season for a few races.
Can Hendrick run a 5th car? I don't recall the rules now. I don't think they can.. Though, that's pretty easy to get around.. I mean, 23XI is basically a 5th (soon to be 6th) JGR team.
Hendrick throws a few bucks (and chassis) JTG's way, I'm sure a second car in select races could happen.
Huh? Where’d that come from? I saw he had his Indy rookie test this week.
Looking back at the stories I read, it was from July/August time frame. Things may have changed now, but I do know for sure he wants to run the Indy 500.
No reason he cant do both, although I doubt he will be back in a cup car any time soon, unless its for a one off race like Daytona, or something. Hell, I dont even know where all they raced this year the schedule is so screwy IMO, but maybe a COTA race !?!?!

Jimmie Johnson was never the same after that horrible crash at Pocono in 2017. I think after that he backed off and took less risks. He is married with young children, that changes most peoples priorities. His move to open wheel racing was more about lifestyle and simply experiencing something different. He really has nothing to prove as his racing legacy is already cemented in NASCAR. Had he made the move 10 years earlier he would be at least somewhat better as the desire would still be there.

I agree, and he's not the only one who has gone through that set of circumstances. I think that Dale Jr. got a little more "conservative" in his driving, after the firey crash in the Corvette, on the road course....
Well< I guess JJ has something for INDY. We'll see come Sunday.
