yes, i go every year... Daytona, Talladega and Atlanta...
We have sat on the backstretch at Daytona for the past 3 years and have gotten really nice/cheap seats.. I have sat on the front stretch for the July race (much cheaper than the 500). They tore the backstretch seats down after last years 500 and added more seats on the front stretch. It is costing me about twice as much for tix this year as it has in years past and i am NOT UP as high as I was on the backstretch..
I did get semi (OK) seats.. turn 4 top row.. on the aisle. $120 each

When you consider the stick and ball prices that's not terrible. It does seem a bit high when you factor in a family though. Which sucks.

When you consider every NASCAR sprint Cup races is just like attending an All star game in the stick and ball sports. Unlike Baseball or Football or Basketball where you can go and see bottom rung teams playing each other in NASCAR all the best drivers are participating no matter where the race is held.

Good point. You're never faced with paying $120 bucks to see the Sixers vs The Timberwolves. haha

When you factoring in FREE Parking.. plus you can bring in a cooler with drinks/snacks.. it is a much better deal than any other the other sports. I spent ~$500 for me and my son to go to a Cowboys game this past December. I will spend less to go to Daytona for 3 of us..
Smoke out indefinitely! Wonder if he'll just go ahead and pack it in??
I called this earlier.. But, I don't think it'll come to pass because he'll be out quite a while.. But, if he was just going to miss Daytona or.. Maybe just 2 or 3 races.. I'd be willing to bet that they would contact Gordon and see if Fox would let him be an 'in-race analyst'.
Who is available, though?
I haven't heard anything about Hornisch.. He'd be a possibility. I don't think they could pull Mark Martin back in, and having been out 3 years.. Don't think it'd be a good idea.
I'd say my first guess would be Ty Dillon.. But, would they even clear him to race at Daytona? Which would then fall back to Elliott Sadler being most likely.

I was wondering that myself. Gordon, nah! I'm guessing Regan Smith. HEs already familiar with Hendrick cars having subbed for Jr in Cup and drove for Jr in Xfinity or what ever it is called now., I still call it Busch with Hendrick cars. I would say Clint Boyer might get a shot at an early "test session", but I wouldn't know if his current temp ride would let him do that, but I doubt it. They don't have long to get someone!
