terrible. Loved the 10-lap strungout single-file shootout at the end. Congrats to Jimmie but that race was a total waste of time.

I'm still trying to figure out how Jimmy entered pit lane 4th, even fox who isn't the brightest bunch to begin with was saying he should have entered the pits outside of the top 10.

The last segment was boring, but overall I thought it was a decent race.

Since it was on Speed we didn't see anymore after the rain delay.

To expound on my original post a little more, I think the All Star race is suffering from the incessant tinkering that NASCAR seems to think they're obligated to do every couple years.

Last night's race had WAY too many segments. Segments of 50, 25, and 15 laps are more than adequate. Invert the whole field for the trophy dash and force the good cars to move back up through the backmarkers. Also, make the race a quasi-points paying event by giving the winner of the last segment regular season bonus points. Make them race their butts off for the big paycheck and the points payout.

I agree with blurescreen, it was dead boring. That tracks sucks for this event. It allows the cars to spread out too much and really shows who got the set-up right or wrong. So inverting the field would help some but still needs a better track for a shoot-out style race.

Might be time for them to showcase this event around the country. Martinsville and Darlington would be interesting! Maybe throw a road course in there as well....why not.

^^Or take the race somewhere they don't run during the season. There's plenty of tracks available.

Now that would be entertaining.
