Jimmie Johnson! I can't help but like Jr. too, because he seems so down-to-earth and says it like he sees it!
I'm a new convert, after being married to a NASCAR fan for 14 years, he finally got me hooked after attending the Martinsville race in '07 and watching my driver race his car to victory lane! Here's to many more years of stock car racing!
My all-time favorite is Sr. The King is very high on my list also, but Sr. did more in a shorter time. I was a big Darrell Waltrip fan from his days in the 88DiGard machine until he retired. (Don't like him on TV now.)
These days, Jr. is my driver and Smoke is the co-favorite. I even pull for Harvick (love him in that new Tylenol commercial with the other drivers), Jeff Burton (as an elder statesman of the sport), and Martin Truex, Jr (used to watch his Dad and uncle race Modifieds in NJ).
Can't wait for Smoke to shake that crappy Toyo car brand after this season. IMHO, they have no business being in our sport, but that's a different topic.
Either way, since all of my favorite drivers guys will be in the BowTie Brigade next year, I'm a happy camper.
My favorite NASCAR driver (though I'm not much of a fan) is someone who's actually been retired for years, but used to get a lot of recognition on ESPN's SportsCenter..........for his name.
Do you remember a fellow by the name of Dick Trickle? I do. I always pulled for him to win a race. He did once, as far as I can remember. But, back in the day, you usually would hear Dan and Keith mention how Trickle would finish in any race (even if it were 25th).

+1... I remember those Sportcenters too! They were fun keeping ol' Dick Trickle in mind.
Guess I've always liked those "bad-boy" types. Tony Stewart has a very hard time being "kissy-faced'! He's real and says it like it is. He's not there to make everyone else happy always he's there to race and hopefully win. I like that. He not obnoxious like Kyle Bush...No offense for those who feel otherwise--just my personal opinion!
