Well, if it's the Walmart I'm thinking of then it could have been someone with a lot of acreage that has a skeet shooting area on it. There are some ranches and very large farms in the general area. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess it was not someone in any subdivision. That's not a "typical" Texas thing to do, but yes, there are some people who probably do some skeet shooting.

My parents belonged to a skeet shooting club for many years in San Diego CA. They mostly went out on weekends. Mostly with other Navy officers. The men drank beer, the women drank wine. They'd usually pick up supplies on the way out there.

What does that tell you about California? Or about Navy officers? Or about married couples? Do you know if there are any states in the U.S. that don't have skeet shooting clubs?

I could be wrong here, but I don't think the OP was "that" serious in his question. I took it light hearted but then I look at things in a positive light. I think he needs a break.

Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyways.

I didn't write it with malice and you're right wineflight, I wasn't that serious at all. I do see it is a very serious subject now though. I suppose it's all relative. It is especially relative from my perspective. Having said all that I would still have the same reaction to see a cart full of beer, wine and skeet. Oh well. All is not lost. I have learned some things today. One of those things being life is so full of irony.
