Randall's has awesome prices in their meat dept. A friend of mine that works in the meat dept. at HEB agrees, most of the time it's hard to beat Randall's meat deals.

Everytime I go to Randell's I get screwed. I have gone 4 times in 3 years and never again! . Terrible servics, products and prices!

I'll take the fresh stuff thank you

And they don't have many locations plus don't forget you have to pay for the privilege to shop there.

They begin discounting three days before the "sell by" date. It still is fresh and can be kept in the fridge rather than freezing immediately. HEB doesn't follow this policy. They keep the meat on the shelf until it can no longer be sold and pull it. I generally buy ribeye steaks at Randalls for 50% off and grill em the same day.

I think HEB has a faster turnover of product as there are many more customers...that's just a theory. Also, Randall's isn't my fave...(1) b/c of prices; (2) b/c I saw a rat run across an aisle from one shelf to another; (3) opened a bag of cake mix and there was a spider web in it...and I don't even shop there that much - or didn't...

Sure, but I read the dates on the stuff I buy . You must just be more of a last minute shopper than me
