NOTABLE FACTS

The property is on a floodplain (it matters in their system)

I need to put fence and shed on property

Cannot get the permit, this is the exact response from travis county:

"As there are no residence on this property, an engineered site plan is required. Please provide a site construction plan prepared by an engineer licensed in the State of Texas which complies with Chapter 482 of the Travis County. Plan requirements can be found in Section 482.301. Please submit a copy of the engineered site plan back to Travis County in My Permit Now/My Government Online after it has been completed."

I called every engineer, NONE OF THEM will participate (for whatever reason)

There is no COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY, meaning, there is no one hired, no diesel trucks, no semi, nothing

It is just a simple fence and a shed

Its impossible for me to get the permit, and the county keeps leaving notices on the gate, saying,

"You must get development permit or we will fine you"

How can I get the development permit without the engineer?

Can I sue the county to let me get the permit without an engineer because:

The work is being done by the homeowner, not commercial

Another huge point about this property: It is off grid, off of a county maintained road, there NO UTILITIES AT ALL maintained or brought into the area, very close to the river, pretty remote

There is no electrical, water, sewage, internet, etc

IF YOU CAN HELP ME WITH THIS I WILL PAY YOU

I will attach a site plan of what I drew if this forum lets me

Ok I talked to a fence contractor, he said:

"Apply for a variance that says since the job is too small, no engineer will take on that task, and try to submit the permit application that way"

OK, I did that, I went to "mypermitnow" and said,

"No civil engineer will take on this task, it is too small, please let me submit the permit application without an engineer"

Let me know if you know of this, or how this works
