We're moving back to Atx and hoping to find a neighborhood where neighbors gather outside, more often than just an annual block party. This may be a weird question, because it just depends on the neighbors who happen to live there, but I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on which neighborhoods have this experience.

this is going to vary block by block. In my old neighborhood there were a few cul de sacs that were amazing, the rest had no one. In my current neighborhood, my cul de sac isnt great, but plenty of streets get out all the time.

Places like mueller that are master planned will tend to have more events. Also master planned communities with pools will tend to attract a lot of people in the summer.

Mueller honestly doesn’t have very many “organized” events outside of big holiday events. You have plenty of opportunity to meet folks if you are out and about, though. I will say, though, that one of mom friends that lives in Mueller speaks highly about her little cluster of townhomes/condos. I honestly don’t think that Mueller is any different from any other master planned community where it’s hit or miss depending on where you’re at. If you have kids, and you choose to go to the neighborhood school, that may also give you more opportunity to hang out with your neighbors.
