I’m personally working multiple jobs between 4am and 10:30pm and will have no issue finding time to vote.

Yes!

Just voted. It was super fast. In/out in 4 minutes.

Literally this topic irritated me so much I had to take a break out of one of my jobs and go vote too. I was in and out in 30 minutes… and I grew another grey hair…

…I feel better now though.

You're not really counting your time spent Uber driving, are you?

I only Uber drive weekdays between 4am and 8:30am

Weekends are the times I go all out with Uber.

I have additional jobs (not including Uber) ontop of my primary job which range between 9:30am & 10:30pm.

My goal, pay the mtg off early and invest.

Why shouldn't he?

I mean, that's part of his work and he had to schedule around it to make time to vote. Which he accomplished quite well, I might add!

Probably because they see it as flexible.. and there is some merit to that, but in either case I do have set quotas I have to obtain to make a Uber session profitable to cover fuel, tolls, and vehicular expenses otherwise it’s a waste of time to do and there are times where it’s not profitable enough for me to engage in. I typically aim to make approx $100 - $150 per morning.

Friday, Saturday and Sundays I aim for $300+ per day … so it’s not quite as simple as me taking off as I do incur loss if I decide to abort… and I won’t get PTO for voting while pausing an Uber session … Likewise, I’m not always in a place that’s convenient to home / work… I’ve had some mornings land me in San Marcos while commuting back up I-35 rush hour to N.Austin metro… those are fun days.

Besides the flexibility aspect of it though, Uber is typically seen as more service level however and more people working in the service industry are also doing it ontop of their day jobs. Hardly anyone I know does Uber as their only source of income besides those who are retired.

Yeah, N4C, I get that, but I think the larger point is that you're working over an 18 1/2 hour period in a single day and still made time to vote. Good on ya!

Cool! You have a car, right? Don't rely on public transportation? No kids you need to take with you or arrange care for? Work kind of flexible? Not everyone has that.
