Hi All, moving to austin this January. Looking for somewhere around cedar park (don't have to be exactly that) with low crime, quiet neighborhood. No kids so school quality is irrelavant. Any advice is welcome.

Btw are ground floor, south facing apartments better for summer?

Why not just live in Cedar Park?

If you’re looking for a apartment, I would look into Lakeline area in NW Austin. It’s by CapMetro rail as well so you can take the train if you ever need to.

Depends on where you need to go(commute or otherwise) in that some places would be more convenient than others. For example, having to deal with 620 and the congestion all around Lakeline Mall MIGHT be OK if you don't go far or don't go everyday(somewhere). The ease of travel from the 1431/Ronald Reagan area would be helpful if THAT'S your new stompin' grounds. Not sure I would choose the area around the new "Bell District" on 'old' 183 UNless that will be the center of your world(will EVENTUALLY be convenient for SOME things).
On the other hand, I'd like to trade our Avery Ranch townhouse for a one-story in Cedar Park Town Center...so I could walk or ride my bike to Pickleball!!!

It all depends on what is important to you

Budget would be helpful. Cedar Park would be my first choice, then Lakeline, and perhaps Leander.
