Yes, that is somewhat accurate, but they also curtailed production due to equipment failures and methane clathrate forming in some locations.

At the end of the day, it was the natural gas companies that reaped the benefits of the high prices. They aren't as motivated as the power companies that had to pay for that (limited) natural gas.

Natural gas companies have had a reputation for pulling shady shenanigans over the years.
The Coastal States cabal in the 1970s is the earliest I remember.

Looks like it will be in the near side of Taylor instead of "out past" Taylor.

It's labelled "new County Rd", if you're talking about the road on the south side of it.
