Bought a lot right around the corner from the new HEB, was going to build but now think I may just hold on to it. Any opinions on this area? It appraised for $20k more than we paid but find this hard to believe.

I know of quite a few homes out there going between $500 and $900k currently. I too was shocked when I found this out, they were actually fairly expensive even pre-pandemic but the market bubble excuberated that. that area seems to be holding its own. The tollway is currently being extended to 29 and when Northline is complete, shopping won’t be terribly far from it. I would say it should hold its value pretty well despite being far from Austin.
