Not like I think buying the new home is wise but home building in general here is expensive. My homeowners insurance went up a lot bc the replacement cost is greater... lumber, location, materials....it’s nuts. Just the wrong time to buy unless you’re a) Californian or b) you have to. Pay more, get less.
