Which side of the river has the most celebrities? (Austin: real estate, homes)

I thought Lance Armstrong moved to Aspen.
I thought Matthew McConoughey lived in Tarrytown
I thought Patty Griffin lived in Hyde Park
I thought Willie lives out in Spicewood.
I never knew Robert Plant lived in Austin.
Last I heard Michael Dell lives in Westlake.
I think Earl Campbell still lives in Westlake.
I thought Sandra Bullock left Austin around the time her and Jesse James split.

I didn't know Bristol Palin lived in Austin. I thought Austin would be too liberal for her.

Are you sure NE Austin has 60-70% of the Austin Metro population? I would guess it to be closer to 25 -30%. Unless they are on a budget, I think the reason more celebrities don't live there is because the entire West Austin - as in West of all of Mopac out to the edge of the Metro - is alot more scenic than just about anywhere east of Mopac.

There are areas west of Mopac that are on the NE side of the river and are scenic:


RiverPlace, Jonestown, Steiner, Northwest Hills, Crystal Falls, Lago Vista, Great Hills.



Why don't celebrities live there?

We are talking about the Colorado River, not downtown Austin. Leander and Cedar Park are on the NE side of the Colorado River.

I said that in my first post:
"NE side is anything on the north, northeast or east side of the River"

Heck, those two cities are so far north of Austin, they are in a totally different watershed altogether. The Brazos.

It makes sense that many of the celebrities live in/near Westlake and all that. I didn't know Earl Campbell still lives in Austin. Any confirmation on if Robert Plant still does?
