Not sure if I should take the state roads and meet I-10 someplace around Junction TX or if I should take I-35 or 130 to San Antonio and bypass San Antonio on Loop 1604.

I'd drive to Junction. But I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I always go that way via Fredericksburg and on toward Junction...can't say if it is best or not, though. I hate driving I-35....

You’re not bypassing anything by taking 130 to seguin to 10 then getting on 1604 just to get on 10 again. . That’s an hour out of your way. Do the Fredericksburg route.
