You apparently didn't read the OP carefully. Their flight arrives 2 hrs before their parents. They are just looking for something to keep their munchkin amused while they wait to go PICK UP their parents and go do whatever they're here in town to do. It sounds like you are thinking that they have a 2hr layover here in Austin and are looking to do all that stuff during the layover, which truly would be, uh, "aggressive" timing wise.

Like others mentioned, 2 hrs is nothing. It'll take over an hour especially with a toddler to deplane, go to bathroom, get a snack, get baggage, get rental car, install car seat, and drive back to pick up parents. Last time we traveled, I used the rental places car seat and it took me a while to figure out how to install it. I had to figure out the model of the carseat, download the manual, watch youtube instructions before I attempted to install.

A park in ‘the bad part of town’? Are you kidding me? You have apparently never lived in a city with a ‘bad part of town’ if you consider these parks in a bad area of town.

This person loves to spew this type of negativity. She responded to a comment I made about a nice office building near Cameron/183, and she went off about the homeless encampment around the corner, and said she's "astonished" at what people think is nice. I was merely referring to the INSIDE of the building, and it set her off.

Comprehension may not be her strong suit.

Sorry, OP, for hijacking your thread. I hope you get something figured out for the two hours. I still co-sign Centralaustinite's suggestion - made me want to take a "field trip" out to the airport just so I can do all those things. Etched glass mirror in the baggage claim bathroom? I never knew!
