Summermoon on S. 1st is my favorite. I also love Jo's on S. Congress on a beautiful day.

Admittedly I couldn't tell you a good cup of coffee from a bad cup, so I tend to be a connoisseur of coffee shops rather than the coffee itself. Two good ones that haven't been mentioned yet are La Tazza Fresca (great mochas if you're into that) and Radio.

Need to know more about which factors are most important to you.

Location?
Quality?
People?
Ambience?

Genuine Joe's at Anderson. Lots of great coffee shops in Austin...for me now its more about which one can I get to without dealing with traffic, construction, etc around Austin. Joe's has great coffee, wide selection, friendly service, free wifi and its easy to get to off Anderson Lane.

Heh, funny, but I am not looking for great coffee so much as avoiding bad coffee. With that in mind, I have two withing walking distance - a Starbucks and a Coffee Bean. Both it the bill for what I need. Coffee Bean tends to have the youngster (high school age) and Starbucks the older crowd.

Panera Bread seems to always have very good coffee.

For more local, I have had a good cup or two at Cypress Grill on Wm Cannon.

Monkey's Nest is now open 24 hours too; a big plus in our book.
